The Indian Army has successfully concluded a rigorous 12-week training program for the Tanzanian People’s Defence Force (TPDF) Mechanised Infantry at the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School (MIC&S) in Ahmednagar.

The comprehensive course, which ran from July 1 to September 24, 2024, focused on providing TPDF soldiers with the technical know-how, operational proficiency, and tactical acumen needed to effectively operate and maintain the Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV) BMP 2.

The training program encompassed a wide array of subjects, ranging from the technical intricacies of the ICV BMP 2 to its maintenance procedures and tactical deployment. Through hands-on instruction and practical exercises, TPDF soldiers acquired invaluable experience and expertise in handling this sophisticated armored vehicle.

This collaborative endeavor represents a significant stride in bolstering the capabilities of the TPDF and solidifying the defence cooperation between India and Tanzania.
