Terror Wave Continues in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province With 179 Attacks in 4 Months

Folks, things are looking grim in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Can you believe it – there have already been 179 terrorist attacks this year, just until the end of April! This is scary stuff, and according to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), it doesn't seem to be slowing down.

Sadly, besides all these attacks, 91 terrorists have been killed this year as well. The worst part is that it's getting more dangerous month by month. In January, there were 60 attacks, then 38 in February. March saw 33 attacks, and in April, the number jumped to 48!

And it's not just the attacks that are alarming. Imagine this - the most terrorists, 31 of them, were killed in February. Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan have been particularly hard-hit – that's where they've taken down 19 and 14 terrorists, respectively. These CTD folks managed to get some seriously dangerous people off the streets – 16 of the terrorists killed were on the most-wanted list!

The police have their hands full, let me tell you. They found 2 suicide jackets, 36 hand grenades, and a whopping 247 kilograms of explosives! And guess what, the police themselves have been attacked 10 times this year.

Sadly, this isn't some new thing. Just last year there were 563 terror attacks in the province, and the police were targeted a horrifying 243 times. The worst-hit areas were Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber, and Peshawar.

It's a dangerous world out there, and it seems like things in Pakistan are particularly worrying. Let's hope the authorities can bring the situation under control and keep regular folks safe.
