Hyderabad-based Apollo Micro Systems Ltd. has been awarded a significant contract valued at Rs. 5.73 crores for the development and supply of a Rocket Guided Bomb designed for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW). This groundbreaking weapon system is engineered to be launched from naval vessels in salvos, bolstering their capacity to neutralize submarine threats.

This contract represents a major breakthrough for Apollo Micro Systems, marking their foray into the complete development and production of Rocket Guided Bombs. This accomplishment lays the groundwork for the creation of comparable weapon systems tailored for air, land, and sea operations.

The Rocket Guided Bomb will incorporate state-of-the-art guidance systems and propulsion technology to guarantee precise targeting and effective engagement of underwater adversaries. This development is in line with India's ongoing efforts to modernize its defense infrastructure and fortify its naval forces.

Apollo Micro Systems' proficiency in cutting-edge technology and engineering has been pivotal in securing this prestigious order. The company's demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions for critical defense applications has solidified its position as a key contributor to the Indian defense industry.

This is a major upgrade as our current ASW rockets are fired in the general direction of the submarine but are unguided after they hit the water. These new rockets will still be guided when they travel into the water and searches for the submarine and hit it. While developing these rockets we should also increase the range and depth level that they can hit the submarine as well.
