The Munich Agreement was a diplomatic pact between Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom which allowed Nazi Germany to annex the Sudetenland, a German-speaking region of Czechoslovakia. Signed on September 30, 1938, the agreement was an attempt at appeasement, a policy by which the European leaders hoped to avoid war by granting concessions to Hitler.

Ironically, the leaders of Czechoslovakia were not invited to the final negotiations in Munich, and the agreement was imposed upon them.

Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain famously returned to Britain with a document signed by Hitler, declaring it secured "peace for our time".

Figures like Winston Churchill, however, criticized the agreement as a betrayal and a sign of weakness, stating that the Western democracies had been "weighed in the balance and found wanting".

Despite this grand appeasement effort geopolitically, the agreement failed to check Hitler's territorial & land-grab ambitions. Hitler's promises, thus, proved to be shortlived, and were broken, nonetheless, within less than a year as he went on to conquer the rest of Czechoslovakia.

The Munich Agreement is widely seen as a pivotal moment in history that failed to avert & prevent the onset of a major global conflict, the World War II, which began less than a year later in 1939 with the invasion of Poland on September 1st 1939 by the German troops which marked the beginning of World War II...

Back to Present: Ukraine Peace Deal in 2025

Eerily, a very similar series of geopolitical saga and events are unfolding right now, 87 years later, with Ukraine at the epicenter of the tectonic forces at play now. The Ukrainians, too, are now being kept out of the deal on Putin's insistence and Trump's subservience.

Chamberlain played the motley character, back then, which Trump is playing now, 87 years later while Putin plays Hitler. The European leaders are currently playing Churchill, almost collectively, by ensuring that the so called peace deal is thwarted and Ukraine has enough arms & weapons to counter Putin's belligerence.

So, those mooting for not keeping Putin engaged in Ukraine militarily, and in favor of the Ukraine peace deal now, should actually look back in time first, while also preparing for a major war with Putin's Russia in Europe, before that. The valiant Ukrainian people have just taken the right decision to not cede land to Putin and not dishonor their bravehearts, who have sacrificed their lives for their mother land in fighting Russia, and let's honor that decision.

Marx was, somehow, right when he said last long ago, "history repeats itself, first as tragedy and then as farce"...let the farce not be enacted by checking Trump geopolitically this time around by not letting him be the voice of the free world and play second fiddle to Putin, otherwise, the next major war in Europe is imminent and just around the corner...
