Aesthetics doesn't matter. Look at f35. The above body is sleek and air from nose to canopy to fuselage will be streamlined and laminar upto very long stages. The separation of boundary layer may occur somewhat at the rear end fuselage but even with lower Reynolds number. The same approach has been used in AMCA too. On the other hand, if you see the j35, a bump after the canopy may help but will suffer during transonic and subsonic flow. The layer will seperate at much early stages generating unnecessary drag at lower speed. This approach is used in f22, turkish tfx and korean kfx.
 
What Difference China has there 5th gen jet America has there 5th gen jet India has none.
BTW those who are saying j35a is better than F35 is nothing but fool one which is not have flew yet is comparing with the jet which already produced 1000+ jet
 
With time and usages China is fine tune and improve J35. To improve J35 needs to fly in the first place. While India will send them to Mars and moon to test and and finally discard them
 
Does it really matter if they copied if they lapped us twice, most likely three times with the deck backed FC31 most likely getting finalized before AMCA too

False bravado doesn't keep us safe

I think it should be compared with ours by us more than we compare it with F-35. We had none as of now.
