DCX Systems Ltd, a leading Indian manufacturer of electronic subsystems and cable harnesses for the aerospace and defence sectors, has announced a major win with a ₹460.30 crore (approximately $54.8 million) contract from Lockheed Martin Global Inc, USA.
This significant order highlights DCX Systems' growing prominence in the global defence industry and its ability to meet the demanding requirements of international defence giants.
Under the terms of the agreement, DCX Systems will supply critical electrical assemblies to Lockheed Martin. These assemblies will be integrated into Lockheed Martin's advanced defence systems, further solidifying the Indian company's role in the global defence supply chain.
This contract builds upon an existing relationship between the two companies, with DCX Systems having successfully fulfilled a previous order worth ₹16.53 crore during the 2024 fiscal year.
This latest order is expected to be completed within 12 months. It underscores DCX Systems' commitment to innovation and its strong track record in delivering high-quality solutions. The company's expertise in system integration, radar systems, sensors, electronic warfare equipment, missiles, and communication systems has positioned it as a trusted partner for global defence OEMs.
This news comes as Lockheed Martin strengthens its ties with India through its strategic partnership with Tata Advanced Systems for the C-130J Super Hercules airlifter. This joint venture aims to establish a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in India and explore opportunities for local manufacturing and assembly of C-130J components.
In September 2024, DCX Systems also announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Raneal Advanced Systems Pvt Ltd, was granted an industrial license for the production, assembly, and testing of sensitive defence electronics, including microwave submodules for missile subsystems, avionics, and radar systems. This license, valid for 15 years, further enhances DCX Systems' capabilities and its potential for growth in the defence sector.
