DRDO and Adani Defence Reveal Next-Gen ULM-ER Missile System for UAVs with 10+ Kms Range and Autonomous Capabilities

In a recent development, Adani Defence has provided a glimpse into the latest innovation from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO): the ULM-ER (UAV Launched Missile – Extended Range). This advanced missile system represents a significant leap forward in UAV capabilities, promising to redefine the future of unmanned combat.

The ULM-ER is a next-generation variant of the existing UAV Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM), designed to dramatically extend the operational range of UAVs in combat scenarios. With an anticipated range of over 10 kilometers, it surpasses its predecessor, offering a significant tactical advantage. This extended reach allows UAVs to engage targets from a safer distance, minimizing their vulnerability and enhancing their survivability.

Engineered for pinpoint accuracy, the ULM-ER is capable of neutralizing both static and moving targets with high precision. This capability is critical in modern warfare, where targets can be fleeting and require swift, accurate engagement from a distance. The missile's advanced guidance system ensures that strikes are not only precise but also discriminate, minimizing collateral damage and adhering to the principles of modern warfare.

One of the standout features of the ULM-ER is its full autonomy. The missile can execute its mission without continuous human intervention, making it ideally suited for complex and dynamic environments where real-time control may be challenging. This autonomous capability reduces the cognitive burden on operators and allows for rapid response in critical situations.

Furthermore, the ULM-ER is designed for round-the-clock operations. Its ability to function effectively under both day and night conditions significantly enhances the operational envelope of UAVs, enabling them to maintain constant vigilance and readiness against potential threats. This 24/7 operational capability is essential for ensuring continuous surveillance and the ability to respond swiftly to emerging threats.

The glimpses provided by Adani Defence showcase the missile's sleek and aerodynamic design, hinting at advancements in both aerodynamics and propulsion that contribute to its extended range.

The development of the ULM-ER marks a significant milestone in India's indigenous defence capabilities. This advanced missile system is poised to transform the landscape of unmanned combat, offering unparalleled precision, range, and autonomy.

This is all very good but we need to first have an armed drone that can launch this missile and currently we don’t have many. We need to quickly manufacture the Archer NG as this will give us an armed drone that can still carry out ISTAR missions for surveillance.

It’s still good news because if he advances and refines the missile to give it a larger and more lethal warhead and a longer range then it can be used as a normal missile that can hit anything.

It is the Spike missile from Israel with "Made in India" sticker on it.
Even the "Made in India" sticker might have been printed in China.

The whole point of Adani Defence was to corner more of Government of India budget in Adani's pocket.

How come a man - whose main business was transport (shipping) and managing ports suddenly become a great defence manufacturer ? Which is a highly technical and research oriented job.

In Adani Power it is reported that he overcharges for every ton of coal he sells to India that he imports from Australia. This coal plant was purchased by taking loans from public sector banks in India.

This is taking away funds from other companies who are genuinely trying to develop and manufacture weapons in India.

This is a drone launched missile and not a Spike ATGM at all so how is it an Israeli missile with a made in India sticker? 😂

Also you can’t get loans from government banks to invest abroad at all as otherwise the whole country would borrow and invest it outside of India and there would be no money. To get a loan you need to give the bank some security guarantee like your bank savings, land, properties, businesses, gold etc as otherwise they won’t lend a penny.

Get your facts straight and learn something properly instead of reading some fake fantasy conspiracy theories and commenting like you know something!
