Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has achieved another milestone by completing its 19th consecutive on-time refit of a Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel. Despite a 35% increase in the scope of work, the project was delivered 7 days ahead of schedule, reaffirming HSL's commitment to providing efficient and high-quality ship repair services.

This achievement underscores the company's growing reputation as a reliable partner for India's maritime security needs.

The refit, carried out at HSL's Ship Repair Complex, involved a range of complex tasks executed with innovative solutions.

The team utilized advanced CNC machines to locally manufacture propeller blade footings, installed shaft bearings and deep-sea seals without removing the shafts, and efficiently procured and supplied 85 machinery spares.

Furthermore, HSL completed 33 Annual Workload Reviews (AWRFs) and implemented measures that resulted in a 10% reduction in engine load demand.

This successful project was completed with the support of CGRPS (Coast Guard Regional Provisioning Store) and Krasny Marine, highlighting the importance of collaboration in achieving operational excellence.

HSL's consistent track record of on-time deliveries and its dedication to supporting India's maritime interests positions it as a leading ship repair yard on the East Coast.

This latest success follows a series of on-time refits completed by HSL over the past 2.5 years. The company's commitment to efficiency and innovation is crucial in maintaining the operational readiness of the Indian Coast Guard's fleet, which plays a vital role in safeguarding India's vast coastline and maritime interests.
