PUNE, India – In a significant step toward deepening defense cooperation, a cohort of 39 naval officers from India, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar have begun a specialized Naval Weapon & Missile Technology Course at the prestigious Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) in Pune, India. The group includes 31 officers from the Indian Navy, six from the Sri Lankan Navy, and two from the Myanmar Navy.
This intensive program will provide officers with a comprehensive understanding of advanced weaponry and missile technology as it applies to modern naval warfare. Participants will explore the complexities of missile aerodynamics, propulsion, and guidance systems, while gaining insights into the latest innovations in naval armaments.
The course underscores an emphasis on international collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the naval defense sector. Officers will learn from MILIT's expert instructors while exchanging perspectives and experiences with their counterparts from neighboring countries.
