Ambassador Jawed Ashraf and a delegation of Indian officials recently visited Naval Group's facility in Lagoubran, France, to witness firsthand the company's cutting-edge unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) technology.

The visit focused on the XL-UUV demonstrator and Naval Group's ongoing UCUV program, showcasing the potential of these systems to revolutionize naval operations.

The XL-UUV, a combat-oriented UUV, demonstrated its advanced capabilities and potential applications during the visit. Naval Group's rapid development of the UCUV program, initiated in May 2023, highlights the company's commitment to innovation in this field. Within just nine months, they identified key use cases and developed architectural concepts for the XL-UUV, demonstrating its potential for surveillance, reconnaissance, and intelligence gathering.

The Indian delegation's visit also served as a platform for discussing potential collaborations between Naval Group and India in the realm of UUV technology. As India modernizes its naval forces, the XL-UUV demonstrator and Naval Group's UCUV expertise could play a pivotal role in enhancing India's maritime capabilities.

better join them as france is always willing to share tech at a cost. They are at the cutting edge of submarine building and the plan would be to net work the underwater UAV as a loyal wing man with its very low signatures/. we just dont have the vast knowledge of submarine building like france. neither can we waste time trying to re invent the wheel which is going to to take decades. But by that time china will be far ahead with some thing new.
A net work of scorpenes , the above uav, nuke subs , p-8, SOSUS network that has begun with JAPAN and our own desi maritime aircraft based on the c-295 can effectively stalemate the chinese nuke subs and in future an aircraft carrier group that will surely start roaming in around us kind courtesy of bangladesh, srilanka and maldives. "friendly visits".

This seems to be a very large unmanned underwater drone. It could also be converted into an unmanned underwater submarine that can be armed if they wanted it to be.
