The Mangaluru City Police have officially launched the use of the IdeaForge Drone Q6, a state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that promises to significantly bolster the city's law enforcement capabilities.
Procured through the Mangaluru Smart City Corporation Limited, the Q6 UAV represents a considerable upgrade for the city's police force, particularly in the areas of law and order maintenance and traffic management. Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal, in a press statement, expressed his satisfaction with the seamless integration of the new drone system into the department's operations.
The Q6 UAV is anticipated to be particularly valuable during large-scale public events, protests, and city-wide celebrations, where it will provide enhanced situational awareness and surveillance capabilities. To ensure its effective utilization, seven city police officers have undergone extensive training and certification as drone pilots.
