PAF Contributing in Software Development of Turkish 5-Gen TFX Kaan Jet, Claims Pak Media

Pakistani media outlet BOL News has reported that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is actively involved in the software development of the TFX Kaan, a fifth-generation fighter jet program being jointly developed by Turkey and Pakistan.

This claim aligns with previous announcements by Turkish Deputy Defence Minister Celal Sami Tüfekçi, who last year revealed ongoing discussions to incorporate Pakistan into Turkey's next-generation fighter aircraft (NGFA) program. At that time, Tüfekçi also mentioned that approximately 200 Pakistani engineers were already contributing to the TFX Kaan project.

This news comes on the heels of another recent report by BOL News, which stated that the PAF has commenced training its pilots in China to operate the FC-31 stealth fighter jet.

Several factors could be motivating Pakistan's multifaceted approach to its fighter jet program. It is possible that the PAF is seeking to diversify its fleet and reduce dependence on a single supplier. By participating in both the TFX Kaan and FC-31 programs, Pakistan may be strategically hedging against potential risks such as technology transfer issues, production delays, or geopolitical complications.

Furthermore, the unique capabilities and characteristics of each aircraft could play a role in Pakistan's decision. The TFX Kaan, being a collaborative project with Turkey, might offer distinct advantages compared to the Chinese-made FC-31. Each aircraft could potentially fulfill different operational requirements, further justifying Pakistan's involvement in both programs.

In a situation, if Pak economy recovers then they can field limited number of both Kaan and FC31. We are already overwhelmed by Chinese PLAAF superiority and numbers. Only Himalayas and US presence on the Chinese coast might be acting as blessing for us. I just hope that in coming years, situation might be conducive and feasible for India to purchase F-35. Fielding F-35 along with AMCA will act as formidable deterrent.

Even China havent given responsibility of software for FC-31 Program of Fighter jets to pakistan , this ia how they Fool there own public.

China is far ahead of Turkey when it to comes software development. There is no reason for them to involve Pak teams.

Oh Yah
Pak Media ..the most reliable media after PPC
Still 1965 war was won by Pakistan and Birth of Pakistan was in 665 AD according to its service

Thats what i am saying even china dont Trust to pakistan This is their own Media who is Fooling there own public by making propaganda. Earlier they were calling JF-17 as a JV between China & pakistan Actually they are Assembling Semi-knockdown kits of JF-17 with Green paint

Not as long as we operate S-400/S-500.

these air defence system can't engage 5th gen platform at long range.. S400 can detect and engage F-35 at approx 60km only
they can detect them at 400kms away, S-500 even more, but engaging is different story, I know stealth jets can use BVR's,
when detecting
radars can identify specific vehicle types through a combination of techniques:

Radar Cross-Section (RCS) Analysis, Electromagnetic Signature Matching, Spatial Characteristics and Maneuverability Analysis or even Cooperative Identification
The combination of these techniques allows modern radars to accurately identify the specific make and model of both airborne and ground-based vehicles, providing critical information to the pilot for situational awareness and targeting.

The S-400 is a powerful air defense system, but it can never substitute for fighter jets. While it provides a significant layer of protection against incoming threats, like enemy aircraft and missiles, it cannot perform the diverse roles that fighter jets do.

Relying solely on the S-400 might oversimplify the situation.
