Punjab Police announced the arrest of the second suspect, Vishal Masih, involved in the September 11th grenade blast in Chandigarh's upscale Sector 10.

Masih was apprehended in Delhi following a swift investigation aided by Central Agencies. This arrest comes shortly after the capture of the main perpetrator, Rohan Masih, on September 13th.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav revealed that US-based gangster Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passia, masterminded the attack, providing the accused with explosives, weapons, logistical support, and financial backing through his associates in Punjab.

However, Passia reneged on his promise of substantial rewards to the two suspects who carried out the blast, leaving them stranded after they fled to Amritsar.

The investigation has exposed a pattern of exploitation by foreign-based handlers who lure vulnerable youth with false promises, only to abandon them once their objectives are achieved. DGP Yadav urged the youth to remain vigilant against such deceitful tactics.

Further investigations, led by Assistant Inspector General Sukhminder Singh Mann, are underway in coordination with Chandigarh Police to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and Passia's local network. Vishal Masih has been remanded to police custody until September 20th.
