Chapter 1: The Power show of President Putin

On a gloomy day of 15 August in Anchorage – Alaska the most awaited and spoken summit between the two powerful leaders took place to decide the fate of Ukraine – Russia war. The global anticipation with deference to the meet was the self-proclaimed peace trader would bring and authorize the fellow statesman to conclude the war. The presence of President Putin to the global surprise was so authoritative and commanding that it changed the outcome of the summit. The summit which was held for breaking the ice of the everlasting war turned out conceivably into a trade deal. The back door discussions may never get available, but the surprising revelation from President Putin of the twenty percent growth in bilateral trade under the second term of President Trump was enough to draw the supposition for the global pundits who are sharp enough to have awareness of reading between the lines. The power show by President Trump in welcoming the fellow statesman was equally countered with a calm but credible presence of President Putin. The summit for President Putine turned out to be a gamechanger where the message was loud and clear from Russia, which was intelligently delivered across globe. Lot was expected from the summit but very little yielded, but the grandeur was par excellence.

Chapter 2: The Bandwagon of EU

Just expression of thought, a team member is brutally assaulted by a strong man and thrown on the street. The other team members join support for the assaulted and is taken to leader for compassion, to their surprise the leader suddenly develops liking for the man who had assaulted the team member may just create a devastating blow. The immediate response to the failed summit was that the entire Europe (the eminent NATO leaders) along with President Zelensky rushed to White House. If at all the fate of the Ukraine for truce was at the cost of surrendering the land and non-entry in the NATO, why the war is fought. The sheer dominance from US and the fragile and lean body language by the visiting EU members was very wretched. The truce was not attained the fragile security guarantee also turned out to be a mega deal for US at the cost of billions of dollars arms purchase that to be spent by EU on behalf of Ukraine. The episode again shown the idiosyncratic beneficial nature where the trade was achieved with the show of self-proclamation of peacekeeper agenda. Too much dependence can make the adversaries look like blown catastrophise.

Chapter 3: The UNSC role

The UN Security Council (UNSC) is primarily responsible for maintaining international peace and security, so is it happening? The peacekeepers are turning out to be the peace breakers. We are very much glued to the conflict or the war that are going around globally and the sufferer is the mankind itself. The conflicts that are fought with lethal arms is very much visible where the mass killing, and associated problems are surfaced. But the more hidden agendas of the powerful nations in supressing the weaker nation in the name of monetary aids and infrastructural development are more devastating. These suppressions under the name of monetary aids and infrastructural developments are more vulnerable and no less than the colonialisation policy which embrace the rebel groups formation and global distress. The potential of these hidden agendas has not only destroyed the autonomous presence of nations on their respective terms but also has power to cause global calamity. The war can get ended by mutual consensus, but the global increase of the distressed groups is more restraining for enduring peace. The rise of some of the terror groups globally are the product of such colonial mindset for domination. The UNSC must investigate these persisting global problem which are rising globally to find permanent solutions. The ravenousness for vast territorial control and hidden agenda of colonialisation has been the major factor of war globally.

Chapter 4: The India angle

Suddenly India has been held for orchestrating the war that is some thousands of miles away. The approach of India for any war de-escalation has always been supportive through diplomatic and dialogue policy. The most recent example can be drawn from the “Operation Sindoor” where India itself was forcefully dragged in the cross-border escalation due to the most heinous terror episode channelled from the Pakistan base. The response from India was absolutely measured and calibrated, no way it was targeted to civilians and de-escalated in a professional manner when the goal was achieved. Considering the way India is developing into a global powerhouse both economically and strategically it will be very hard to categorically isolate India in a vengeance of stopping its trudge. The global presence and the ever-growing market of India will always attract global partnerships. India is becoming a global hub of Global Capability Centers where lot of multinationals are setting the offshore units. The policies that are being structured and the vast talent pool available in India are attracting these GCC’s in array of sectors. The way India is evolving it will be very difficult to ignore India in its global presence.

War has a catastrophic effect on the health and well-being of nations. Studies have shown that conflict situations cause more mortality and disability than any major disease. War destroys communities and families and often disrupts the development of the social and economic fabric of nations. Ideological differences can be sorted through diplomacy and discussions. The challenges can be overcome if thought to find long-lasting solutions. The overall episodes that are unfolding pertaining to the Ukraine – Russia war just revel that all the involved so-called peace brokers are looking for like profiteers in the ongoing situation. The deadlock does not look to get resolved unless the foregone egos are dropped to attain real long-lasting solution.
