Agnikul Cosmos Prepares for Agnibaan Launch with Successful Ground Test

Agnikul Cosmos, a rising star in the Indian space tech industry, has moved closer to its inaugural launch with a successful full-system hot fire test. This critical test is a pivotal step toward the launch of their Agnibaan orbital launch vehicle.

The test demonstrated the effectiveness of Agnikul's in-house data acquisition systems and flight computers. In a meticulous simulation of launch conditions at Sriharikota, the test setup mirrored the Agnibaan SOrTeD (Small Orbital Reusable Test Demonstrator) vehicle and launch environment. This simulation also confirmed the avionics chain's ability to seamlessly control the SOrTeD vehicle's propulsion system.

Adding to the significance of this test was the implementation of Agnikul's Automated Launch Sequence (ALS). The ALS used in this test will be responsible for the actual SOrTeD launch procedures, ensuring a precise and streamlined process. Of note, this successful test also featured a vacuum-optimized version of the Agnilet engine, the engine designed to power the second stage of the Agnibaan orbital vehicle.

The excitement surrounding the Agnibaan launch is growing in the wake of this successful test. The ability to recreate the demanding launch environment and smoothly execute the automated launch sequence indicates a high probability of a successful liftoff. The promising performance of the upgraded Agnilet engine further intensifies anticipation for the Agnibaan's capabilities.
