Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, has lauded the recent development of the DRDO-Mahindra Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) 8×8, highlighting its potential to significantly bolster India's defence capabilities.
In a recent social media post, Mahindra expressed his immense pride in the vehicle's array of advanced features, including its amphibious capabilities, optimized engine performance for high-altitude operations, and state-of-the-art CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) protection measures.
Designed to accommodate a crew of 8+3, the WhAP also features provisions for weapon integration, enhancing its combat readiness. Mahindra further emphasized the vehicle's exceptional performance on both land and water, demonstrating its versatility and adaptability to challenging terrains.
The industrialist's post concluded with an expression of anticipation for the WhAP 8×8's induction into the Indian armed forces in its various versions.
