BrahMos Aerospace Explores Collaboration and Export Markets at Singapore Airshow

At the Singapore Airshow, Indian defence major BrahMos Aerospace is creating a stir by looking into possible collaborations and export markets for its well-known supersonic cruise missiles in Southeast Asia.

According to Praveen Pathak, BrahMos's Director for Market Promotion and Exports, the company is in talks with multiple Southeast Asian nations about supplying missiles. He was optimistic that the Airshow's participation would open up "fruitful opportunities" for the region.

Attending the Singapore Airshow is strategically important to BrahMos. The event's central location in Southeast Asia, a region undergoing economic recovery following the pandemic, offers excellent prospects for growth.

Pathak emphasised BrahMos' established performance history, citing contract with the Philippine Marines and successful delivery to the Indian armed forces. This trustworthiness provides a solid basis for future international interactions.

BrahMos hopes to use the Singapore Airshow as a springboard to obtain big contracts in Southeast Asia. The region is favourable for BrahMos' expansion plans because to its strategic importance and increasing defence funding.

India needs to keep advertising and promoting this crucial, deadly and advanced missile which can sink their major ships by defeating their air defence system. It can also be fired on land at ships passing through and this can be a crucial weapon for island defences and to choke key trade routes. It would be very good if ASEAN countries all bought this system which will provide them all a strong defence against China and could even scuttle their mini military task force, mission or trading ships if attacked in a coordinated manner.
