Around 16 drones (Drones Seized) have been seized by the Border Security Forces at the international border in Punjab. Those drones have been seized since last week. In addition to this, 16 kg of narcotics were also seized by the BSF forces. Both were arrested in that smuggling case. Officials said that 16 drones were shot down from November 9 to 15.
A BSF official said that in the past, the maximum number of drones used to be seized was 10 in a week, but now the number has increased. The drones were seized in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Gurdaspur sectors. So far 216 drones have been recovered this year.
But in 2023, a total of 107 drones were seized. Narcotics, weapons and fake currency are being supplied by drones flying from Pakistan territory.
