Democratic Republic of Congo Defence Delegation Explores Partnership with India's BEL

A high-level delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), led by Major General Lukwikila Metikwiza Marcel, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, visited Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Bengaluru to explore potential collaboration in the defence sector.

Mr. Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of BEL, welcomed the delegation and presented BEL's extensive capabilities in developing and manufacturing a wide range of defence products and systems. The discussions focused on identifying potential areas of cooperation that could benefit both countries.

A highlight of the visit was the showcasing of BEL's Akash NG Multi-Function Radar (MFR) to the DRC delegation. The Akash NG is an advanced air defence radar system that plays a crucial role in India's multi-layered air defence network.
