Eastern Command Boosts Readiness with Large-Scale ATGM Exercise

The Eastern Command of the Indian Army successfully concluded its annual Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) field firing exercise at the Teesta Field Firing Range from February 20 to 28, 2024.

Over 1500 personnel honed their anti-tank warfare skills in this large-scale training event, firing over 260 missiles in realistic scenarios.

The exercise emphasized the Indian Army's commitment to precision, with the goal of “One Missile, One Tank.”

This annual training ensures that the Eastern Command's troops remain well-prepared to counter any armored threats they might encounter in the line of duty.

Hope NAG missile was part of the exercise..
Nope, All missiles are Konkurs-M and older Milan-T.

IA still not showing confidence on our own ammunition and it will be difficult push for Atmanirbhay without Indian system participate in such exercises. Just like Mod created negative import list. They should create list where only or preferably Indian systems used in exercises. That will give boost and confidence to our defense sector.

India needs to start inducting more indigenous ATGM like NAG and Amogh which should replace the current Russian ATGM that we mainly use. We currently have too many old missiles that needs to be replaced so large indigenous orders will have to wait until most of them pass their shelf life expiry.
