Squadron Leader SS Bhatkare, an Indian Air Force pilot, has developed an AI-driven aircraft inspection system to reduce accidents caused by human oversight. This innovation, inspired by India's "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" initiative, focuses on inspecting aircraft panels, gauges, and covers, enhancing safety for both pilots and ground crews.

The system utilizes AI algorithms and a camera system to scan the entire aircraft surface, detecting damage or anomalies that might be missed during manual inspections. This technology addresses the issue of human error, particularly when pilots or ground staff are fatigued, potentially preventing accidents and saving lives.

The Ministry of Defence lauded Squadron Leader Bhatkare's work on social media, emphasizing his commitment to safety and innovation. Bhatkare himself stated that the government's support for startups and indigenous technologies motivated him to create this system.

This AI tool is a significant step forward in aviation safety, showcasing the potential of AI to reduce risks associated with human error and make air travel safer for everyone.
