Indian Civilian Team Arrives in Maldives for Military Platform Handover

An Indian civilian team has arrived in the Maldives to take operational control of one of three aviation platforms. This marks a significant step in the ongoing withdrawal of Indian military personnel by the March 10 deadline.

The move highlights evolving bilateral cooperation between the nations, signaling a shift from military to civilian management of this asset.

The team's arrival in Addu initiates a carefully planned handover process. Their primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth transition as they assume full operational command.

The helicopter currently stationed there will soon undergo scheduled maintenance and repairs in India, requiring test flights to confirm its readiness for the journey.

This is absolute rubbish! Those civilians are all ex-pilots or HAL employee but it still doesn't make any difference. Having it flown by civilians makes no difference as they would still operate in a ranking system
