Indian Navy Unveiled Drishti 10 Starliner, Its First Indigenous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

Today, the Indian Navy unveiled the Drishti 10 "Starliner," its first-ever domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), signalling a significant step towards technological leadership and strategic autonomy.

This cutting-edge drone marks a turning point in India's efforts to become self-sufficient in long-range, combat-tested aerial vehicles.

With its advanced technology and operational skills, the Drishti 10 "Starliner" is more than just a drone. With a 450-kilogram cargo capacity and an astounding 36-hour endurance, it is a force multiplier in the contemporary battlefield.

This all-weather marvel, approved to the stringent STANAG 4671 standard, can operate flawlessly in both segregated and unsegregated airspace, a rare feat for military platforms.

The flag-off ceremony at Hyderabad's Adani Aerospace Park marks a significant turning point for both the Indian Navy and the country's rapidly expanding defence manufacturing industry.

The Drishti 10, which is being produced by Adani Defence and Aerospace in association with Elbit Systems of Israel, is noteworthy for having 60% Indian-made material, demonstrating the nation's enhancing autonomy in this vital area.

There is more to the Drishti 10 than just a strong engine and airframe. It is an advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform that gives the Navy vital eyes and ears.

Because of its prolonged endurance, it may penetrate deeply into hostile territory and gather crucial intelligence while avoiding detection.

With its unmatched precision in guiding tactical decisions and improvement of situational awareness, this technology has the potential to completely transform India's marine operations.
