A group of JSS Mahavidyapeetha students, along with four other institutions, including JSS Science and Technology University, have created a nanosatellite that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to launch in April 2024. This Rs 1.25 crore satellite weighing 1.25 kg sets forth on a vital mission to investigate the stability of pharmaceuticals in microgravity.
The medical and pharmaceutical companies stand to benefit greatly from this experiment. Scientific progress and space-based medical investigations can be significantly advanced through understanding of the reactions and behaviours of drug formulations within the distinct environment of space.
This programme represents a significant advancement in the rapidly expanding space exploration and research activities of India, as well as a testament to the inventiveness of the country's youth.
