JFD, part of James Fisher and Sons plc, is proud to announce a significant expansion of its partnership with the Indian defence forces through a new contract aimed at strengthening the Indian Navy’s underwater capabilities.

Since 2018, JFD has built a strong collaborative partnership with the Indian Navy, underpinned by a commitment to delivering mission critical systems. Through the successful delivery of two Submarine Rescue Systems and a 25-year maintenance contract, the company works closely with navy personnel to ensure these systems remain available and ‘rescue ready’.

Rob Hales, JFD Managing Director commented:

Through our long-term Submarine Rescue System contract, we have built a strong foundation with the Indian Navy enabling us to understand their challenges and anticipate and respond to their evolving needs.

We are honoured to further enhance this partnership and support the Navy with advanced underwater solutions and expertise to support their mission success now and into the future.

With established JFD Home Market presence on the West and East coasts of India to offer responsive support to regional contracts, the delivery of further underwater capability will further strengthen local presence and expertise.

JFD’s commitment to enabling mission success in the harshest operating environments is reflected through its enduring partnership with the Indian Navy, providing trusted solutions which support customers’ evolving operational challenges and long-term goals.
