L&T Defence showcased its TEER (Maneuverable Recoverable Aerial Target) at the Maharashtra MSME Defence Expo.

Developed in India, it offers a range of training options, including radar augmentation, infrared and smoke flares, and an acoustic miss distance indicator.

The TEER-NG variant, with a higher maximum takeoff weight and longer endurance, is being developed by L&T Defence.

Launched using a catapult launcher, TEER utilizes a high-performance turbojet engine for dynamic maneuvers.

yes...hame aur adhik kathin target ki practice karni chahiye.. jo target chhota bhi ho aur kathin ho.

This sophistaicated maneuvering target will make it easy to test the Indian GaA and GaN AESA radars, and also Astra I, II, III, etc long range BVRAAMs.
Things are nicely falling in place.

India very badly needs a High Altitude Fighter Jet Engine aircraft like the one Russia uses to test Kaveri derivatives.

This is a brilliant development and it's something that India needs to develop and test new missiles, radars or target practice. This should stop importing the Banshee drone that's currently used to test new weapons and technology and the TEER will be a 100% indigenously designed and developed in India. This can also be a great export product for other countries who need an alternative other than a expensive western aerial target.

This appears like a good option compared to DRDO Lakshaya, L&T should make it even more advanced by adding Chaffs and flares, EW and other evading features to make the target for missile test more advanced.

This heartening to see private sector taking up devopment of target drones, glide bombs, rockets, small aero engines, etc..👍👍👍. This will free DRDO to concentrate on niche & futuristic technologies.

Great news. DRDO took decades and have decent Lakshaya and few more but private sector did it within few years and with sustainable orders they will thrive as well

L&T Defence’s showcase of the TEER Aerial Target at the Maharashtra MSME Defence Expo is an impressive demonstration of India’s growing capabilities in indigenous defence technology. The TEER system highlights advancements in unmanned aerial targets for training and evaluation, enhancing readiness for the armed forces. Such innovations not only reduce dependency on imports but also open avenues for MSMEs to collaborate in high-tech defence manufacturing. This aligns with the nation’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, fostering innovation, skill development, and job creation. It’s exciting to see Indian companies pushing the boundaries of defence solutions with cutting-edge, homegrown technology like the TEER Aerial Target.
