LUCKNOW: The Central Command headquarters in Lucknow is abuzz with activity as preparations are underway for the first-ever Joint Commanders Conference to be organized by the Army in the city. The two-day conference, scheduled for September 4 and 5, will witness a heightened security presence and focus on bolstering India's defence capabilities.

Security drills have commenced in anticipation of the high-profile event. Additional CCTV cameras are being installed, and the entire cantonment area will be under high alert during the conference. Security at major transit points like railway stations, airports, and bus stands will also be enhanced.

The conference aims to deliberate on making India strong and secure, with the theme "Strong and Secure India: Transformation of the Armed Forces." Key topics on the agenda include upgrading theater command and the army, manufacturing defence equipment under Make in India, and creating theater commands to enhance coordination between the three armed forces during wartime.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan, and heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force will participate in the conference. Top commanders from the three services will present their views on strengthening the forces and equipment requirements. The directorates of the armed forces will also deliver presentations.

This conference marks a significant step towards fostering greater collaboration among the armed forces and modernizing India's defence infrastructure. It underscores the government's commitment to strengthening the nation's security apparatus and ensuring its preparedness for future challenges.
