With the Indian Army eager to add another 100 M4 vehicles to its arsenal, the Kalyani group has ramped up production. They are currently capable of manufacturing 100 units annually and are poised to further expand capacity to an impressive 30 units per month, potentially delivering 350 units each year.

The Kalyani M4 boasts an impressive operational range of nearly 800 kilometers, allowing for rapid deployment of troops and equipment across various terrains.

I believe this vehicle is a licensed version of a South African vehicle,forgot its name,but nonetheless it's good start for the private sector as in a decade or so with substantial order book,they can produce their own clean slate designs.

Yup,right just had forgotten that RSA company name.Hopefully in near future,Indian firms will start to produce their own designs for Indian and foreign markets.

That reminds me of the famous South African mine protected troop carrier which became infamous because they were deployed by the then regime against the anti-apartheid activists. It was called the Casspir. It has been iconic and still quite popular
