Manipur Police Receive Mine-Protected Vehicles for Enhanced Security


Imphal, Manipur, March 6, 2024: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh made a significant move to bolster security in the state by officially launching seven Mine Protected Vehicles (MPVs) for the Manipur Police at the 1st Manipur Rifles Parade Ground.

This addition to the police arsenal is designed to enhance security measures and protect the citizens of Manipur.

The launch event was attended by prominent figures including Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Rajiv Singh. DGP Singh expressed his appreciation to the Chief Minister for supplying the MPVs and inspiring the police force.

He added, "Three more MPVs are expected to arrive soon. We are committed to ensuring these vehicles are deployed to maintain control in sensitive areas and ensure the safety of our citizens."

Ministers, Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Chief Secretary Dr. Vineet Joshi, Security Advisor Shri Kuldiep Singh, along with other senior administrative and police officials, were also present at the ceremony.

This initiative underscores the strong collaboration between the Manipur government and TASL (Tata Advanced Systems Limited). It demonstrates their dedication to providing the state police force with sophisticated resources to effectively address security threats.

The deployment of these robust MPVs promises to significantly augment the police force's operational capabilities, leading to a more secure environment for the people of Manipur.
