We cannot share images, diagrams.
We cannot message anyone.
This is so black & white site.
Can someone tag the owner, moderator?

You can hot link external images. Users with minimum regular member group can upload attachment.

Couple of posts of every new member need to be approved to fight spam. After that they can post freely.

By default we do not allow direct messages between users as that is not required for a public defence forum and can be misused significantly by bad actors. Mods can send DM to any user for help purposes.

I don't see a single diagram, image by any member in 42 pages.
Members might be having repository of images, diagrams which cannot be found on internet anymore due access issues, defunct websites, screenshots from videos, etc.
Sometimes we have to edit images to explain something, that cannot be hot-linked.
If forum owner has to pay for server storage due to image sharing & cost is not reasonable then it is another thing.

Ok

Ok

Now you can upload attachment.
Thanks a lot. Don't mind, just humor - this site looked like Nokia 3310 or Kindle.
Now this site will be able to compete with other forums also.
Now members can discuss far better on any aspects like -
- weapons payload
- aerodynamics
- supercruise
- components

@WebMaster @Jaydeep Gupta @Raghav Patel @RonitBisht @Manav Rastogi & everyone else,
I hope you all are doing well.
When i searched for "AMCA" (https://defence.in/search/2366/?q=AMCA&c[title_only]=1&o=date)
there are 2 pages of threads.
This website is supposed to survive for at least 10-20 years.
But instead of 1 thread per product, if we open threads on each individual aspects/components & news of every product - jet fighters, missiles, tanks, submarines, ships, IFVs, etc then there will be 100+ threads for every product, total chaos for new members to track, bad organisation, isolating the members, bad for popularity of website.
@WebMaster i guess you came to DFI as "vikasd" while we were looking to regroup. Please consider merging some of the threads.

We are working on it.

We need to keep an eye on global developments also. International members also give good info which may not be accessible to us.
We need a lot of new threads & good tree structure to organise the threads. There are still many thread which need to be merged.
There are many popular product categories in Army, Navy, Air Force -
Army- MBTs, IFVs, SAMs, SSMs, Support vehicles
Navy - Destroyers, Frigates, Corvetes, Aircraft Carriers, Submarines
Air Force - Jet Fighters, Bombers, AWACS/ISTAR, Tanker, Cargo, UAVs/UCAVs, AAMs, AGMs

Inside each product category, there are certain popular products in multiple countries like following examples -
Army - Arjun MBT, Zorawar tank, T-90 MBT, BMP IFV, Abrams MBT, Bradley IFV, Armata MBT, Kurganetz IFV, Challenger MBT, Leclerc MBT, Leopard MBT, etc.
Air Force - Su-30MKI, LCA, MWF, AMCA, F-22, F-35, Rafale, Mirage-2000, F-15EX, F-16, F-18, Su-57, Su-33, Su-34, MiG-29/35, J-20, JF-17, FC-31/J-31/J-35, etc.

1 example is to have country watch page of major arms producing countries & branch them into their Army, Navy, AF sub-forums.
So all American jets will go to USAF, Russian jets to RuAF, etc.

Apart from coutry-watch specific sub-forums, we need Global root level node(s), to discuss generic technologies aroundthe world applicable to all wings of land, sea, air, space like DEW (Directed Engergy Weapons), Hypersonic jets & missiles, jet engines, & branch specific but still generic things airframe design, ship design, submarine design, armored vehicle design, etc.

Invite 3D CAD artists like - Kuntal Biswas, Satwik Sadhukhan, Harshal Pal, etc.
They can contribute a lot to various threads.
I noticed their Twitter address but i'm not there.
