Munitions India Limited Showcases Defence Prowess at Future Forces Exhibition 2024 in Czech Republic

Prague, Czech Republic - Munitions India Limited (MIL), India's premier ammunition manufacturer, is making a significant impact at the Future Forces Exhibition and Forum 2024 in Prague.

The event, a leading platform for defence and security innovation, has drawn over 8,000 professional visitors, official delegations from 70 countries, and 1,000 officials, providing ample opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

The Indian pavilion, inaugurated by Shri Raveesh Kumar, India’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, showcases MIL’s advanced defence technology and solutions. The pavilion has attracted high-profile attention, including a visit from Czech President Petr Pavel, highlighting the growing recognition of India's capabilities in the defence sector.

"I urge all exhibitors to prioritize partnerships that drive strategic innovation. Seek out collaborators and explore opportunities for establishing strong alliances that promote business growth,” stated Ambassador Kumar during his inaugural address.

MIL officials Prakash Agarwal, Director, Finance and additional charge of Director operations; Deepak Deshmukh, General Manager; Sunil Kumar Sapare, General Manager; and B.R. Anilkumar, General Manager were also present at the ceremony.

The Future Forces Exhibition, held from October 16 to 18 at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition centre, features over 320 exhibitors from 35 countries. National pavilions from Denmark, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and Ukraine are present, along with dedicated thematic sections such as the Cyber Pavilion, Command & Control (C2) Pavilion, and Innovation Pavilion. Prominent international defence companies like the Czechoslovak Group, BAE Systems, and Thales Australia are also showcasing their latest technologies and products.

MIL, established in 2021 as part of the restructuring of the Ordnance Factory Board, plays a crucial role in India's indigenous defence production. With a history spanning over 150 years, the company employs 22,500 personnel across 12 manufacturing units and produces a wide range of military and civilian explosives.

This participation in the Future Forces Exhibition underscores MIL’s commitment to developing and showcasing high-quality defence products while fostering international cooperation in the defence sector.
