US President Donald Trump has given a big blow to Bangladesh’s Yunus government. He has immediately stopped the US aid to Bangladesh. USAID has given this information by writing a letter.
It cites Trump’s recent executive order ordering the immediate cessation or suspension of any work under a USAID/Bangladesh contract, work order, grant, cooperative agreement, or other assistance or acquisition instrument.
After assuming power in America, Donald Trump has been taking many big and tough decisions one after the other. He has banned financial aid given to many countries and international institutions for 90 days. A few days ago, he had banned the aid given to Ukraine. In the ongoing war with Russia, the Biden government kept providing a lot of help to Ukraine, but Trump stopped it as soon as he came to power.
In fact, Mohammad Yunus is considered close to US President Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton. Donald Trump and his team consider Mohammad Yunus a Biden-supported leader and are looking for an alternative to remove his government. The Trump administration has also invited BNP leaders to the National Breakfast Prayers to be held next month.
