Pak-Backed TRF Claims Responsibility for Reasi Bus Terror Attack, Threatens Further Violence Against Tourists

The Pakistan-backed terrorist group, The Resistance Front (TRF), has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack on a pilgrim bus in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district on Sunday. The attack resulted in the death of 10 people, including the bus driver and conductor, and injured 33 others.

In a chilling message, the TRF, an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), warned of more such attacks targeting tourists and non-locals, declaring the Reasi attack as merely the "beginning of a renewed start." This ominous threat has raised concerns about the safety of pilgrims and tourists in the region, particularly with the upcoming Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage.

The TRF, designated a terrorist organization by the Indian government in 2023, has been involved in numerous attacks since its formation in 2019, following the abrogation of Article 370 and the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status. This latest incident underscores the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region and the group's intent to disrupt peace and stability.

The attack has drawn widespread condemnation, with political leaders and citizens expressing outrage and offering condolences to the victims and their families. Security forces have intensified efforts to track down the perpetrators, with a massive search operation underway involving drones and forensic teams.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced in maintaining security in the region and the need for continued vigilance to counter the persistent threat of terrorism. As investigations continue, the focus remains on bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring the safety of all residents and visitors in Jammu and Kashmir.
