Prime Minister Modi to Witness 'Bharat Shakti' Military Exercise in Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 'Bharat Shakti' war game in Pokhran, Rajasthan on March 12th. The exercise will showcase India's commitment to self-reliance in defense by exclusively featuring indigenously designed weapon systems and platforms. Top military officials, including Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, will also participate.

Prime Minister Modi may call upon military leaders to develop a strategy-focused revolution in military affairs tailored to India's unique geography and security challenges. The 'Bharat Shakti' exercise will test the capabilities of Indian-made defense platforms and network-based systems to assess their combat readiness and resilience against cyberattacks.

A notable aspect of the exercise is the emphasis on joint operations between the three branches of India's armed forces, promoting greater coordination and interoperability.

This is a very important exercise and it will be a good display and experience that the PM sees the military in proper action with the type of weapons we have. Currently DRDO needs to be bought under the direct control under the PMs office and leadership which will show progress and sort out a lot of problems and delays which get bottled up or stuck under bureaucrats. The focus of these exercises should be on using indigenous weapons, products only and technology and less foreign imports or made in India imports.
