Thoubal, Manipur – A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army, Naib Subedar Konsam Kheda Singh, was safely rescued in Manipur's Thoubal district on Friday after being abducted from his home earlier in the day.
Singh, a resident of Charangpat Mamang Leikai and currently on leave, was reportedly abducted by unidentified armed men around 9 am. Security forces responded rapidly, launching a coordinated search operation across the region.
Their determined efforts successfully resulted in Singh's rescue by 6:30 pm. The rescued officer is currently located at the Waikhong Police Station, where the Manipur Police are leading an investigation into the circumstances of the abduction.
