Türkiye’s Homegrown Fighter Jet KAAN Conducts Maiden Test Flight

KAAN, a fighter jet made in Türkiye, conducted its maiden test flight on Wednesday, the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) said. The first fifth generation fighter jet manufactured domestically aims to replace the Turkish army’s aging fleet.

The latest development makes Türkiye one of a few countries to own this technology.

The aircraft, for which the project began in 2016, was rolled out in March 2023.

Bro if u actually think aren't all these just excuses?

Turkey in 7 years flew off their 5th gen fighter, while LCA mk2 is going on and on on for almost 2 decades.
Its not excuses but reasons as to the delay and problems.

And India sits on it its A R S E S still talking about permissions to develop AMCA and even Tejas Mk 2.
What an effing tragedy.
How can you start production until they conclude negotiations for the F414 engine deal? Also funding and permission has also been given on time

Just knowing Turkey it is probably half baked fifth generation. Otherwise, we must then worry of Pakistan who is also part of program.
Turkiye has working prototype that your commenting as halfbaked but ours is most stupidity and is still in drawing board LMAO Indian cringe sarcastic way of being genius to belittle others😹😹😹.... You should worry more if the porkies getting it from Turks and having the helping hands of the chingchongs while us day dreaming of AMCA

And here we are:
No idea of CCS approval
No idea of SPV
No idea of PPP.👏👏👏

Anyways, mere sath gao," Mere Bhole baba tujhe aana hoga, dam dam damru bajana hoga...."
Very true 😹😹😹
But dang why didn't we continue cooperating with the Russian drunkard's for su57e and join hands for su75 if we gonna faqup this sh!tty AMCA on drawing board for backup plan

As turkey is a member of NATO it has a lot of access to advanced technology from the USA and Europe.
Didn't unyielding obduracy Turkiye over its S-400 purchase led to its jettison from F-35 co-production program by USA❓
NATO is a military alliance and not a technology alliance like AUKUS or Quad. Under what NATO program tech sharing was done❓

Turk's and South Koreans one up us again because of our too much obsession of ToT's that affected our government funded military projects especially the AMCA that is still in drawing board LMAO 😹😹😹

What i don't understand is how Turkey is so good with its planning, whether its KAAN or Drone development, we are struggling on both ends, They have several options in Drones and fighter jets which are going ahead on time and we keep just boasting on paper and nothing else
Blame our incompetent bureaucracy and too much obsession of ToT's that sometimes becoming cancerous.... We need to moderate our obsession in ToT's because of it we flagged with too many delays in every projects

The only way that turkey managed to develop a stealth jet so quickly is because most of the technology, parts and equipment have been imported from the USA
Nah they already learned many things in small percentage of ToT's that they develop their own systems similar or certified NATO standard military tech.... Unlike us who's obsession of full ToT's it's becoming cancerous 😹😹😹

Eight Turkish firms were involved in F-35 airframe and engine design, with Turkey selected to be the first European F-35 engine maintenance hub, so yeah they will be sprinting to the finish line. Good luck getting clearance from US for the engine though after S400 purchase.
They have many options other than US engine 😹😹😹.... Unlike us who's still confuse

By the time our Mk2 takes first flight this thing will be in mass production. Forget about AMCA.

The only way that turkey managed to develop a stealth jet so quickly is because most of the technology, parts and equipment have been imported from the USA which has also been helping them.
While being nato member, they took advantage of supply chain in some aspects, but thier national effort as a whole is commendable. If we do a deep analysis of turkey MIC, we can see that thier decision making is superb at every step of project development. If they face a problem, they take a workaround which is backed by thier entire system. All the stakeholders in the project work as one. Here armed forces are on thier high horses, GOI is busy bean counting, MOD, DRDO burecracy functions with it's inherent deficiency, private sector wants to do screwdrivergiri and make money and don't want to take risks. Entire system has problems.

NATO has a set military standard on its weapons and technology that can be used, developed and shared among them ranging from NATO communications system, cybersecurity protection, operating system, jet production, jet engines etc. The AUKUS alliance is mainly to just give Australia nuclear attack submarines only because it’s ruled under the British constitution.

They have learnt a lot but in little amounts which will never give them a complete technology ownership over the part or equipment. It’s no good you getting 10% of ToT when you don’t know the other 90% which without that it wouldn’t work or be unsafe.
