Following the Bengaluru cafe blast that injured 10 people near Whitefield, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a crucial breakthrough in identifying the suspects. A seemingly ordinary cap has emerged as a key piece of evidence, leading investigators to the potential perpetrators.
Security camera footage captured the suspects entering the cafe near Whitefield, Bengaluru. While their faces were visible, a crucial detail emerged – one of the suspects was wearing a particular baseball cap. However, this cap was missing after the blast, raising investigators’ curiosity.
Following this lead, the NIA meticulously examined the CCTV footage, focusing on the cap’s unique features. This keen observation proved fruitful. Investigators were able to trace the cap back to a store in Chennai, where it was purchased in late January.
The purchase date placed the suspects in Chennai prior to the Bengaluru blast. With further investigation, the NIA was able to identify the suspect who bought the cap, leading them to Musavir Hussain Shazib, a resident of Thirthahalli in Karnataka.
This crucial breakthrough provided a vital piece of the puzzle. With Shazib identified, investigators could delve deeper into his background and potential accomplices. The investigation is ongoing, but the cap has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in unmasking the suspects.
