Hyderabad-based Apollo Micro Systems Ltd (AMSL), a major player in the defence and aerospace sectors, has been shortlisted by the Defence Research and Development Organization's (DRDO) Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE) for the transfer of technology related to the production of PRACHAND munition hardware. The company made the announcement on Wednesday, September 18th.
PRACHAND is a potent anti-tank munition designed to deliver a full-width attack, effectively neutralizing enemy armored vehicles. The successful transfer of technology will enable Apollo Micro Systems to manufacture and supply PRACHAND munition hardware to the Indian Armed Forces, aligning with India's strategic goal of achieving self-sufficiency in defence equipment and technology.
