A delegation of four Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the Royal Army of Oman recently visited the Army Air Defence College (AADC) in Gopalpur, India. The highlight of their visit was a demonstration of the Anti-Aircraft Air Defence Simulator, a state-of-the-art training tool for IGLA missile pilots.
The simulator offers a realistic training environment, replicating missile launches, target movements, and hit-miss scenarios. The data collected during simulations is crucial for post-training analysis and improvement. The simulator's lightweight and modular construction enables easy upgrades and adaptation to evolving training requirements.
The Omani delegation was notably impressed by the simulator's four training modes, designed to accommodate operators with varying skill levels. Both delegations engaged in insightful discussions on best practices and lessons drawn from recent global conflicts in the CUAS domain.
This visit serves as a testament to the robust bilateral military cooperation between India and Oman. The exchange of knowledge and expertise in the CUAS field is expected to significantly enhance the capabilities of both nations in countering emerging threats.
