Amid the rugged terrain of the Sunderbani sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, Indian Army soldiers display unwavering courage and dedication along the Line of Control to safeguard the nation’s borders.
Using advanced defence systems, from Smart Fence surveillance to all-terrain vehicles and night-vision gear, troops showcase their preparedness, innovation, and deep-rooted commitment to protecting the homeland.
Jammu-based Defence Spokesman Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said the soldiers demonstrated the formidable challenges they face while serving at the border, steadfastly defending the nation with determination and selflessness.
Amidst breathtaking yet unforgiving terrain, the troops displayed indomitable spirit as they tackled adversities with unwavering commitment and an assuring smile, he said.
The spokesman said, “Despite extreme weather, isolation, and the constant demand for vigilance, they embody remarkable resilience. Their dedication was evident as they shared stories of daily sacrifices and hardships.”
Lt Col Bartwal noted that “Beyond their uniforms, each soldier carries a deep sense of duty and pride in safeguarding the homeland”.
He said, “In addition to operational duties, they maintain rigorous training standards to remain prepared for any challenge.”
“This commitment to continuously evolve, change and integrate exemplifies the Indian Army’s dedication to maintain peak operational readiness”, adding, he said, “Technological advancements were also on display, such as the Smart Fence System that enhances border security and surveillance.”
Newly introduced equipment—including Quadcopters, Advanced Surveillance Tools, Bulletproof Vehicles, All Terrain Vehicles, Modern Weapons and Night Vision Sights were also displayed during a day-long visit of media persons, resonating the confidence of innovation and integration in our troops, he said.
The spokesman said that the Army’s outreach to civilians was equally noteworthy, as they work to build bridges with local communities, ensuring that peace and development reach even in the most remote areas.
“The visit underscored the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers along the LoC, by putting their lives in the line of duty to protect the nation’s borders,” he said.
He said, “The dedication and courage of soldiers serve as a reminder of our collective responsibility to support and acknowledge their service and ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten.”
“In the face of challenges and uncertainties, the Indian Army’s service to the nation stands as a testament to the unbreakable spirit of its soldiers, and we continue to stand alongside them, recognizing their sacrifices and unwavering commitment towards protection of our borders,” said Lt Col Suneel Bartwal in a statement.
