Redon Systems Private Limited, a company specializing in remotely operated systems for defense and industrial applications, has announced the successful high-altitude testing of its Canister Launched Loitering Munition, "Achuk."
The tests, conducted in Leh under the supervision of the Indian Army's Northern Command, demonstrated Achuk's capabilities in extreme environments exceeding 4500 meters.
Achuk, boasting an endurance of over 50 minutes and a payload capacity of 1.5kg (available in both High Explosive (HE) and High-Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) variants), potentially represents the first loitering munition capable of operating at such altitudes.
Rigorous trials conducted between 3500 and 4600 meters confirmed Achuk's exceptional performance and robustness.
