In a significant step towards bolstering bilateral military cooperation, a delegation of ten officers from the Vietnam Army recently embarked on a visit to several leading Indian defence training establishments.
The delegation, led by Colonel Nyugen Quang Huy, Deputy Leader of the Military Youth Committee, engaged in a comprehensive exchange program aimed at fostering mutual understanding and sharing best practices between the armed forces of both nations.
The Vietnamese delegation's itinerary encompassed visits to the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School (MIC&S) and the Armoured Corps Centre & School (ACC&S), both located in Ahmednagar, as well as the College of Military Engineering (CME) in Pune.
Throughout their visit, the officers received in-depth briefings on the diverse training methodologies employed at these institutions, gaining valuable insights into India's military training practices.
They were also afforded the opportunity to witness firsthand the cutting-edge training infrastructure and observe military exercises, further enhancing their understanding of India's defence capabilities.
This exchange program underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and Vietnam, with defence training and cooperation emerging as pivotal components of their bilateral relationship. The visit not only facilitated the exchange of knowledge and expertise but also served to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two militaries.
