ADA Tejas Mark II: India's Next-Gen Fighter - Discuss the Future!

Sure, go ahead. Let's actually see when it happens rather tha counting our chickens before the eggs hatch.

Good, but HAL and DRDO need to deliver Tejas Mk2 jets on these already delayed timelines...India really needs scale production before 2030 - looks 50/50, at this time.

That would be really wonderful if HAL can meet the milestone, but we have seen too many times about milestone changes with Tejas Mk IA.
I pray and hope.

Phir se.....Hainnn. Ab bas kar de Baar-baar likhne se time compression/time dilation hota hai kya. 2028-29 tak induction ho jayega ❓❓❓ Give HAL, ADA & "us" some breathing space, bhai. It is a long drawn process and no one should cut corners in the name of "Gearing Up-Down-Left-Right" The Cabinet Committee on Security had cleared the LCA project in September 2022.

Prabhulla Chandran VK, director of avionics and weapons systems at the ADA:

First Flight in 2026
Development Trials will finish by 2032
Orders Placed by 2034
First 2 aircrafts in 2036
It will be outdated before even born.

Turkey/South Korea will have 5th Gen Fighter by then produced and in service and India will be "developing, gearing"

Mk2 will be expedited as it is based on Mk1 and is tested. Likely by 2032 itself it will undergo mass production

Jigs and fixtures are just some high tolerance welded steel structures. Makes it sound something so high tech

South Korea and turkey have imported their jet from the parts and technology they bought from the USA and have developed little themselves. India is developing a brand new design and technology by itself for the AMCA jets.

Who gives fukkk
Point is they have done it and improve what they have achieved

This is a critical necessity that we need to design and develop as quick as possible. It's good that they are already placing orders for any equipment, parts, components and technology they can before full production takes place. As soon as they clear the F414 engine deal then they can manufacture a set of prototype.

The point is that they are manufacturing a much inferior jet by a licensed copy of the F35 jet. Difference is that we are developing it ourselves to be truly self reliant.

HAL should make 126 Tejas-AF-MK-II, 126 AF-MK-II with internal weapon bay and 145 twin engine ORCA ! Twin engine ORCA should also be used as test bed for GTRE Kaveri (75-80 KN ) engine !
