Senior Col Wu Qian, chinese defence ministry spokesperson

“At present, the Chinese and Indian militaries are implementing the resolutions related to the border areas in a compressive and effective manner,” Chinese Defence Ministry spokesperson Senior Col Wu Qian said at a media briefing on Thursday, replying to a question on the status of the normalisation of the situation in eastern Ladakh sector.

“We are ready to work with the Indian side to jointly preserve the peace and tranquillity in the border areas,” he said.

India and China completed the disengagement process late last year after firming up a pact for withdrawal of troops from Depsang and Demchok, the last two friction points in eastern Ladakh ending over four years of freeze in ties.

After finalisation of the pact, PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks in Kazan in Russia on October 23. In the meeting, the two sides decided to revive the various dialogue mechanisms.

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi later held the 23rd Special Representative (SR) dialogue in Beijing on December 18 last year.

On January 26, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri travelled to the Chinese capital and held talks with his Chinese counterpart Sun Weidong under the framework of ‘Foreign Secretary-Vice Minister’ mechanism.

China is regaining confidence, once fear is diminished it would depend on its leadership to think beyond present argy bargy and replace security with Tibetan border guards thus improving its soft power potential. Humanity is unifying stupid manipulative attempts will filter out.

The best course to adopt with Chinese Communist Party thinking is …” Trust after verification on the ground by IA…”.

Today China is in a no holds bar Trade War with USA. It is aware of our membership in QUAD and our deep commitment to this group. In the Indo- Pacific we are a leading maritime power through IN and our close relationship with USN through MALABAR EXRCISES .

Nothing would please Chinese Politburo more than causing a rift in QUAD COUNTRIES. We must totally guard against these machinations by China .

Is China itching to invade Taiwan? Likely soon.

Currently with our 50,000 troops along LAC the PLA is stumped as it requires a 3:1 troop strength to fight a war in the Himalayas . That is not possible if Taiwan invasion is priority number one. Hence the machinations have commenced under Xi instructions.

Increasing and if possible doubling even trebling troop numbers will provide exposure and higher skills during present lull. A highly trained soldier's confidence and ability will become a bonus and save lives considering previous casualties. It may speed up disengagement as well. Encounters between different races since pre European Asia has been markedly different without outside interference. Fear of the unknown created by CCP is dissipating. At open air madans, the Chinese clans always managed to get their fears allayed in encounters with our forefathers. All they had asked for was access through Aksai Chin. Tradition wasn't broken by Thailand, Japanese forces were allowed passage. Thailand leaned on Koumintang forces to change their flags and they became the Third army in Thailand. The second was created by Singh in Bangkok. Mao honoured ancient tradition. Fear took over after his death. Deng invited Lee to advise on tradition. Like westernised Desis, westernised Lee stuffed up culture and killed ancient languages. Without fear manipulation will fall, China will utilise Tibetan manpower to police their borders soft power will rise.
