Bangladeshi Farmer Killed in BSF Shooting Along Patgram Border, Says Bangladeshi Media


According to Dhaka Tribune, A Bangladeshi farmer was fatally shot by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday in the Patgram border region. The incident intensifies growing tensions along the border, as it marks the third such killing of a Bangladeshi citizen by the BSF in the Lalmonirhat area this month.

Bangladeshi Officials have identified the deceased as 30-year-old Abul Kalam Dakhu, a farmer residing in the Srirampur union of Patgram upazila. Reports indicate he sustained a gunshot wound to his left chest and succumbed to his injuries during transport to the Patgram Upazila Health Complex.

According to Bangladeshi authorities, Dakhu was near the border in the early morning hours when he was shot by a BSF patrol. Despite a desperate rush to the Patgram Upazila Health Complex, he died from his wounds.

Further inquiries are necessary to establish a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances leading to this tragic loss of life.
