In a demonstration of India's growing military strength, the Republic Day Parade on January 26th, 2025, will feature the first-ever public display of the Twin Launcher for Pralay ballistic missiles.

This event will not only emphasize India's dedication to enhancing its strategic defence capabilities but also signify a major advancement in missile technology development by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The Pralay missile, renowned for its tactical, short-range surface-to-surface capabilities, has garnered significant attention since its successful tests. With a range of 150 to 500 kilometers, Pralay is engineered for both conventional and nuclear roles, providing a versatile addition to the Indian Army's arsenal.

The introduction of a twin launcher configuration will enhance deployment speed and efficiency, enabling rapid, consecutive strikes on multiple or the same target.

Historically, Republic Day parades have served as a platform to showcase India's latest defence innovations to the public and international dignitaries. The twin launcher of the Pralay missile will make its debut at this year's parade, attracting the interest of defence analysts and enthusiasts worldwide.

This unveiling will not merely be a display of hardware but a symbol of India's strategic intent to bolster its deterrence capabilities, particularly along sensitive borders with Pakistan and China.

By facilitating the launch of two missiles in quick succession, the twin launcher will equip the military with the ability to engage targets more effectively, whether for saturation attacks or to overcome missile defence systems.

The launcher's design prioritizes mobility and rapid deployment, crucial for operations in diverse terrains, especially in high-altitude zones where traditional logistics can be challenging.

Utilizing a single platform for launching multiple missiles can also be considered a cost-effective strategy, optimizing resources in military operations. The parade's spectators, along with military veterans and analysts, are anticipated to express a mix of pride and curiosity about this new system.

The showcasing of such advanced weaponry during national celebrations is expected to boost national morale and send a clear message of India's growing self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

It is much closer to the russian iskander than it is to ATACMS
Pralay is also a tactical missile like ATACMS and Iskander that is launched from a mobile launcher , but they work different and vary by range and may be little less precise, but functionally they are same, Pralay and Iskander are much cheaper.

Iskander and pralay are both similar missile a similar concealed launcher would have been good similar to what the russian use.
