Philippines' Military Morale Boosted by BrahMos Missiles, Analyst Says

The Philippines' purchase of BrahMos missiles from India sends a potent message to Beijing, escalating the stakes in the disputed West Philippine Sea, according to defense expert Atty. Josephus B. Jimenez.

In a strongly-worded opinion piece, Jimenez suggests the BrahMos could be deployed as a deterrent against Chinese vessels in the region, where tensions between the two nations have been steadily rising. He argues the Philippines is "no longer alone," citing a growing network of defense partnerships with nations including India, Japan, Australia, and those with whom it shares a mutual defense treaty with the United States.

Jimenez provides background on the historic arms deal, outlining the missiles' capabilities while stressing the morale boost they provide to Philippine forces. He cautions, however, against solely relying on military solutions and calls for continued diplomacy.

Whether the missile acquisition marks a turning point in the West Philippine Sea conflict remains to be seen. However, analysts agree the arrival of the BrahMos system significantly alters the strategic landscape.

It's too much brahmos PR now...

We need to develop

1) ATACMS or new version PrSM. Russians are so scared of them...

2) FAB glide bombs. Ukrainian are scared of them....

3) Unmaned underwater drones(Unmaned submarines) which can travel 1000 km and attack subs and ships without detection

Philippines need to come up with sneak Brahmos attack tactics. In a full blown war, Ph wont be able to sustain a prolonged operation and bound to fail, because of numerical superiority of PLA. Phillipines should go after their jugular vein. Key lies in sinking their carriers. Now that China knows Philippines got Brahmos, they wouldnt field their carriers. Ph must figure out how to penetrate into their sea and take out their carriers while still docked in port. This could be achieved by hiding the Brahmos in civilian ships. It will be impossible for China to track and intercept. Sinking their carrier will dent their image - this will lead to internal chaos and power conflicts within CCP. That in turn will take the heat away from Philippines and back into their own territory. It will lead to cultural revolution 2.0 in China. That is the best bet Philippines got.
