A visiting Armenian defence delegation has formally expressed high praise for Indian-manufactured weapon systems, highlighting their exceptional performance in recent combat situations.
This endorsement comes after the reported success of Indian technology during "Operation Sindoor," a significant military action undertaken by India to counter Pakistan's deeply rooted terrorist infrastructure.
Sources indicate that Armenian officials were particularly impressed by the combat effectiveness of the military hardware procured from India.
The delegation acknowledged that Indian-made platforms, including precision-guided artillery, multi-barrel rocket launchers, and loitering munitions, were instrumental on the battlefield.
They lauded the systems for their high degree of reliability, accuracy, and durability under intense operational conditions, noting that some of this equipment was deployed in active combat by India for the first time.
The successful real-world application of these weapons has substantially increased Armenia's trust in the capabilities of India's defence sector.

In recent years, India has emerged as a significant defence supplier for Armenia, which is actively seeking to diversify its military procurement beyond its traditional partners.
This strategic shift aligns with India's national goal of becoming a self-reliant and major global defence exporter under the "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" initiative. Key agreements between the two countries have included the sale of:
- Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers (MBRL)
- Swathi Weapon Locating Radars (WLR)
- Advanced Towed Artillery Gun Systems (ATAGS)
- Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs) and loitering munitions
- Various artillery platforms, such as 155/39 Mounted Gun systems
According to reports, many Azerbaijani experts had initially underestimated the quality of Armenia's Indian acquisitions. However, following the demonstrated battlefield impact of these weapons, they are now re-assessing the tactical advantages and lethality of India's defence technology.
