Adani-Elbit Team Targets Indian Army Mounted Gun Contract with Customized ATMOS

Adani-Elbit Team Targets Indian Army Mounted Gun Contract with Customized ATMOS

Adani Defence and Aerospace, partnering with Elbit Systems, is gearing up to compete for a major Indian Army contract: 800 Mounted Gun Systems (MGS). They plan to offer a customized system based on Elbit's respected ATMOS 155mm/52 calibre truck-mounted howitzer, produced largely in India.

What Makes the ATMOS Special
  • Adaptable: Can be mounted on various 6x6 or 8x8 truck platforms, chosen by the customer.
  • Crew Focus: The protected cabin fits 2-6 crew comfortably, even in harsh climates thanks to advanced air conditioning.
  • Tech-Ready Accepts cutting-edge systems: navigation, battlefield displays, fire control, and more, for precision and awareness.
Competition Ahead

Adani-Elbit's ATMOS-based system will face stiff competition from the DRDO-Kalyani 155mm/52 calibre truck-mounted howitzer, based on India's own Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS). Adani also intends to offer a towed version of the ATMOS for the Army's 400-unit Towed Gun System (TGS) tender. This sets up a clash between local and imported technology.

Adani owns the government. He will simply stick a made in India tag on this gun as he did with the hermes. He is a Gujju after all.
It will be made in Gujrat or UP with Indian name and it will be rigged to keep competition away. This is how you do fixing in democracy (Pakistan/Russia/China is better by doing it directly )

Don't worry. He has the 56 inch in his pocket. Rules can be changed for him.
Rules are not changed they are made for ADANI. If you see the recent hidenburg reports it will be clear how Adani start corruption from beginning and pocket everything in every stage. It is good in one thing that bribe all the levels and media and all parties for that manner. He is true believer in "sabka saath, Sabka vikas"

So who will supply the army's requirements? Did you notice the numbers needed, 800, is there any single vendor capable of supplying so many . Perhaps you can help.
MGS is Mounted Gujrat Systems.
This nonsense can be stopped if after next election you make Nitin Gadkari as Defense Minister, Give Rajnath singh Home Ministry and Amit Shah Forest department

Put 50 or 60% indigenised non critical components and hire an Indian company close to 56" and put a made in india sticker then the deal is done but make sure the electoral bonds are well executed. Not to forget in paying keyboard warriors esp those who are for the western(french)arms.

Please ask this from DRDO. They knew perfectly well that all the GCVs in Indian army are for 16 ton limit. So why did they waste our money in designing an 18 ton monster? Still, our patriotic army is buying them (tender for new trucks is out which can only be used for ATAGS). But since the cost is higher, they have to reduce the number. Isn’t this akin to treason by damaging the operational capability of the army?
Was the 16T limit created by IA after ATAGS development? Or did IA add requirements later on that increased the weight beyond 16T. Because IA is notorious for doing that

So many Indian companies are ready to supply.
Award of contracts lagging.
Even foreign countries are buying Indian maal.

Oh army is only notorious for aiding the failed DRDO.

Army never had a 16 ton requirement. Army’s QRs say that the gun must be compatible with the GCVs in operation in army. All the GCVs with India, or with any other army in the whole world for that matter, have a 16 ton limit. Do you think it’s a miracle that no one in the world thought to increase the chamber size of a gun before DRDO? It’s because it simply makes no sense. That extra range is pointless when compared to the fresh logistical challenges. Anyways there are multiple alternate ways of increasing range like rocket assisted shells.

So the real question is this. When it is well known to everyone that army has no GCVs beyond 16 ton capacity, why did DRDO design an 18 ton gun? When DRDO knew this gun would surely fail the trials, who cleared the e design?

Let’s see if you can come up with a reason for this treason of DRDo.
