Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) News and Discussion

There are others like China, Turkey, South Korea building 5th generation fighters. The Indian AMCA has to be distinctly superior to these. That will make AMCA a true wait and build superior fighter.
Superior bruh in paper specs and CGI while those countries are already in sky flying high especially China... The SK government is now ordering 40 and manufacturing now it's Boramae mk1, while planning it's mk2 and mk3 ahead our oh so overhype AMCA... The ddd@mn Turks are flying it's prototype ahead of us too they are now doing it's mk2 version 🙃...
And us Indian still bickering and speculating or fantasizing when will AMCA materialize

HAL has been around for 7-8 decades and is still a failure. So anyone but HAL. Anyone can start from scratch and will have a better probability of catching up when compared to HAL. With others you have a chance of success. With HAL you have a guarantee of failure. 100% guaranteed to fail.
This guy have some certain neurological defect, according to him it is better to have no fighther rather letting HAL to make AMCA when Pvt sector only wants to screw drive foreign mall

Turkey and korea are also still at prototype stage. It is easy to catch up with them since mass producing stealth fighters is a challenge in itself. US has just hit max production rate of F35, after so many years of induction
LMAO Koreans are ordering 40 Boramae kf21 Boramae how come it's still a prototype 😹😹😹 while them already testing the schematics and newer subsystems for it's mk2 plus the ur future mk3

You must be the one with the defect. I mean, if only HAL could make anything at all. It’s well past delivery date and we haven’t seen Mk1a getting inducted. And you are talking about HAL making Mk1a.

On the other hand, private sector is dy!ng to make AMCA. Just that HAL and ADA are not letting them in because they know that once they come in, HAL and ADA will be exposed badly;

Because it has been in development for far longer and is closer to bein inducted. Indonesia is also a part of the project, have they placed order? Are their any export orders?

Stop crying, Tata wants to assemble F35, Reliance FCAS and Rafale,

Screw Driving will not get this country anywhere

Lol.

Somebody should order the losers at DRDO and HAL to zip it and focus on delivering LCA MK1A on time. I won't even bother with LCA MK2, TEDBF and AMCA, which st present are pure fantasy. Seriously the dam thing is atleast 15 years away from seeing service and these buffoons are talking about prospective specifications? In next 10-15 years LIDAR technology would be mature enough to replace them as primary mode of detection and LPI radar which us presently mainstream could become supplanted. We may never know. So I would suggest someone in government to order them to zip it tight.

And HAL wanted to assemble Rafale but Dassault didn’t find them fit enough even for that. They are assembling Su30 mki and wants more orders. And now they want to assemble F18.

So indeed. Screw driving got us nowhere as HAL can’t even deliver mk1a on time.

Kf21 and AMCA is just same years when started the problem of AMCA is that it was a repurpose FGFA project that turn into AMCA.... Nothing changes it's still on papers.... And it's a fact bruh., we can't change the current reality that we are lagging behind in development... Whatever excuses we can make just because Koreans and Turks get help from foreign countries while us is soloing our way and still struggling doesn't good in everything.... Those deym Koreans and Turks use their heads to out maneuver the long process of developing their aircraft.... In the future while upgrading their aircraft into next version their already slowly making parts and subsystems of their own... They adopting too fast than us

GTRE Near Finalizing Foreign Partner for AMCA 110kN Engine Co-Development

India's ambitious Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program is moving closer to securing a crucial engine development partnership, a pivotal step in realizing the country's 5th-generation fighter jet ambitions.

Sources close to the program indicate that the DRDO's Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) is actively pursuing collaboration with a foreign engine manufacturer.

GTRE's goal is to finalize a partner by mid-2024, laying the groundwork for a contract to be signed later this year or early next. This partnership is essential for the development of a new 5th-generation engine capable of generating 110-130kN of thrust – a considerable power increase necessary for the AMCA MkII variant.

Industry leaders in engine manufacturing, including Rolls-Royce, Safran, and GE, are all potential contenders for this co-development project. The selected engine will power the AMCA MkII, which is slated for production after 2035.

To ensure timely progression in the initial stages of the AMCA program, the initial prototype and the first 40 AMCA MkI units will use the proven GE-F414 engine.

According to industry sources, the co-developed engine is expected to have a wide range of applications. Beyond the AMCA, it could potentially power the Indian Navy's TEDBF program (a carrier-based fighter jet) and even be incorporated into upgraded Tejas MkII jets during their Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU) in the mid-2040s.

This development underscores India's determination to boost its indigenous defense capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign imports.

A successful engine partnership would mark a significant technological leap for the AMCA program and bolster India's position as a rising aerospace power.

Well said and put as plainly as possible ! Still people don't get it!!

Yeah ! HAL has been screwdriving Sukhoi assembly ( which, they call manufacturing) for decades and has not got anywhere, no knowledge absorption or application for any other projects !!

That's s because they also deliver after talking, HAL looks for excuses not to deliver, can only talk big !

Lol ! Best excuse so far- they have been development longer ! what stopped us ?? We never had any technical capability, under name of self reliance, we want to rely on incompetent idiots from DRDO and HAL. We can still "be in development" for the rest of the century if we rely on DRDO and HAL and that too without any results. Only paper claims of how good and superior the planes are or will be !!

No update on where we are currently on LPI development...
As usual only in thoughts, not even on paper !! Today is Saturday, so today evening after a couple of pegs of whisky, the thoughts will be more clearer. If the whisky is good, maybe the LPI will be developed fully as well !! (at least in thoughts) and tomorrow morning, they will be back to reality !!

Able to develop amca without jv. Then why drdro findind partner for engine. Somehow getting fund and making people fool.
